摘　　要：《钟形罩》是美国女作家西尔维娅·普拉斯的辞世之作。这部自传体小说真实地反映了她的心路历程。文中概括介绍了历史背景、作家生平,分析了文本中"钟形罩"等意象及语言特征,揭示出在父权社会中女性所面临的困境,从而进一步指出,女性自身只有加强主体意识,才能真正地走到"钟形罩"外的天地,获得自由的发展。The Bell Jar is an autobiographical novel by Sylvia Plath, an American female writer who committed suicide briefly after its publication. The novel, based on the real experience of herself, reflects her inner world loyally. This paper introduces the historical background as well as the autho-re ss＇ experience and further probes into the images in addition to linguistic features of this book. Moreover, it reveals the dilemma encountered by women in the patriarchal society and advocates that only through strengthening their subject consciousness could women have the access to the immense world outside of the bell jar dilemma and their full development.
