摘　　要：本文意在为索引词主义的核心观点之一辩护,即量化词词组在句法结构中存在隐藏变量。目前对该观点的批评有:(1)句法规则不足以解释量化词的域限制;(2)隐藏索引词与真正的索引词存在区别;(3)约束论证会导致隐藏索引词的膨胀。本文指出,隐藏索引词与指示词在索引性上具有相同的特征,而仅在句法地位上存在区别。看似与句法相矛盾的规则能够通过对概念的清晰化得到纯句法的解释。用隐藏的可变参数函数取代隐藏索引词,能够在约束关系增加时维护句法结构的稳定。因此,量化词的域限制能够应对现有的批评,仍被视为一条句法规则。One key argument of Indexicalism is that,hidden variables are co-habit with quantifier phrases in their syntactic structure.This paper aims at defending this argument against some existing challenges,which fall into three categories.Firstly,syntactic rules are insufficient in explaining quantifier domain restriction.Secondly,hidden indexicals and real indexicals are different.Thirdly,the Binding Argument leads to the inflation of hidden indexicals.However,hidden indexicals and demonstratives share similarities in indexicality,and only differ in their syntactic roles.Also,syntactic rules are able to explain the principles of quantifier domain restriction,as long as concepts are sharpened.Replacing hidden indexicals with hidden variadic functions can maintain a stable syntactic structure when binding relations multiply.These arguments combined are sufficient to repel the existing challenges for Indexicalism.
