柳无忌语言文学教育思想探析

摘　　要：柳无忌是一位学贯中西的学者,他在国内教英语语言文学,在美国从事汉语语言文学教学,在学界有一定的影响。终其一生,他的语言文学教育思想可以归纳为以下三点:提倡语言与文学并重的办系理念、力行教学与科研兼顾以及鼓励学生从事文学创造与研究。这些想法与实践不仅在当时具有前瞻性,还可为当前高校语言文学教育提供一定的借鉴。Liu Wuchi was a renowned scholar in the world. He taught English language and literature in China and taught Chinese language and literature in the United States. His main thougJlts of language and literature might be concluded as follows： stressing the balance ofliterature and literature; integrating ofteaching and research, supporting students to pursue extra-curricular societies and academic research. His thoughts show his deep insights into language and literature teaching. Up to now, his legacy of thoughts can offer useful suggestions for the reform of language and literature education in higher education.
