摘　　要：本文对近年来海内外方兴未艾的都市文化研究及其背后的学术思路进行了梳理与反思,并对都市文化研究未来的发展提出了设想与提议。全文探讨了都市文化研究与城市理论、近代史研究两个视角进行整合的可能性,和一种整合了历史学、地理学、规划学、艺术学、建筑学、文学等多学科的交叉研究都市文化方法的设想等议题。作者的主要观点是:在都市文化研究快速走向"学科化"的今天,研究者亟待突破对都市文化进行共时分析的符号学层面,在广泛吸收城市本体研究理论的基础上加入历史学的维度,从而为立体地想象、还原、解读一座城市的文化样式与文化生态提供可能性。This article tries to straighten out, and reflects on, the urban culture research, which has been in the ascendant both at home and abroad, and the underlying academic thoughts, and puts forward some ideas and proposals on its thture development. It explores the possibility of integrating urban culture research with urban theory and modern history studies, and an assumption of an interdisciplinary approach to urban culture integrating history, geography, ekistics, art, architecture and literature. The author＇s main point is that today, when the urban culture research is disciplinized rapidly, it is urgent for researchers to break through the semiological limitation of synchronic analysis of urban culture, to add a historical dimension to ontological urban research, so as to make the interpretation of a city＇s cultural style and cultural ecology in a three-dimensional mode possible.
