太极拳在美国的传播:一项基于美国大众媒体语料库的研究

摘　　要：太极拳运动在国外已得到广泛传播,相关研究为数不少,但有关运用大众媒体传播太极拳的研究却鲜有论及。基于传播学理论,运用语料库语言学统计分析方法,以美国当代英语为语料,对太极拳在美国大众媒体中的传播进行了探讨。研究结果显示,1)从传播形式看,太极拳的传播在美国大众媒体中以报纸和杂志为主,其次是小说、口语(广播电视)和学术期刊;2)从传播内容看,太极拳在美国的传播主要是有关减缓衰老、治疗慢性病、健身、医疗保健、太极演练等,但不同媒体报道的侧重点不尽相同,它们从不同侧面反映太极拳运动在美国的宣传和传播规律。为太极拳在美国的传播现状提供实证数据,对未来扩大太极拳在国际社会中的传播具有一定的参考价值。Tai Chi has been widely spread in foreign countries, and there are plenty of researches about it, however, the spread of Tai Chi by the use of different mass media is seldom studied. This paper based on Communication Sciences, employing statistical and analytic methods of cor- pus linguistics, investigats communication of Tai Chi in different American media in the Corpus of Contemporary American English. The results show that： 1 ） From the perspective of communica- tion form, the newspapers and magazines are the main channels, the following forms are novels, broadcasts, and academic journals ; 2） From the perspective of contents, the communication con- tents of Tai Chi focus on reducing the process of aging, curing chronic diseases, fitting, medical care, and so forth. And different media focus on different aspects. All of them reflect the propagan- da and transmission of Tai Chi in America. This study provides the empirical data for the develop- ment of Tai Chi in America and the referent value for the communication of Tai Chi in the interna- tional society in the future.
