摘　　要：笔者在从事商务英语教学及实践的过程中,发现商务英语误译现象屡见不鲜,一定程度上影响了商务活动的有序进行,甚至给贸易双方造成了重大损失。为最大限度降低误译出现的几率,译者必须具备扎实的语言功底,完备的专业知识并熟悉贸易国家的文化传统。据此,本文在总结商务英语误译现象的基础之上,对商务英语翻译人员应具备的基本素质进行反思,以期引起同行的思考。In the process of teaching and translating Business English, the writer has identified quite a few translational mistakes, which somewhat negatively affect normal business activities, even lead to heavy loss to both parties. To remarkably decrease such mistakes, the translator must be equipped with solid linguistic competency, perfect professional knowledge and be familiar with the cultural traditions of involved countries. The paper, based on summarization of translational errors, reflects on elementary qualities that business translators should possess and stimulate peers to reconsider.
