摘　　要：探讨元话语理论在大学英语阅读教学中的应用,通过课前阅读圈活动和课堂文本分析,引导学生在识别与阐释元话语的基础上,梳理课文的逻辑结构,理解作者的情感与态度,挖掘语言的隐含意义。研究发现,应用元话语理论于大学英语阅读教学中有助于学生深层次理解篇章,逐步提高阅读理解能力与思辨能力。The study is aimed at exploring the application of metadiscourse in the teaching of English reading in college. The activities of ＂Reading Circles＂ before class and text analysis after class are discussed. Students are guided to recognize and interpret metadiscourse in the text, based on which the logic and structure of the text, the attitude of the author and the implied meaning are analyzed and inferred by students. The study proves that the application of metadiscourse in the teaching of English reading is useful for students to get an in - depth understanding of texts, and helps improve reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.
