摘　　要：格特鲁德·斯泰因是美国现代主义文学的重要倡导者,也是美国实验主义戏剧的开拓者。她早期创作的一系列令人耳目一新的剧本不仅充分体现了她的革新精神,而且也是她对传统戏剧形式的颠覆与重构。本文旨在阐述斯泰因倡导聚焦碎片化的"现在"的现代主义戏剧观,探讨其"谈话剧"、"书信剧"和"元戏剧"对正在发生的"生活片断"的美学再现,并揭示其早期实验主义戏剧形式的艺术效果和美学价值。Gertrude Stein was both an important advocate of modernist literature and a pioneer of experimental drama in America.The entirely new group of plays she wrote in the early period of her career was not only a reflection of her innovation,but also her subversion and reconstruction of the traditional drama.This paper is intended to examine Stein's modernist concept of focusing on the fragmentary 'present'in drama,discuss the representation of the occurring 'life episodes'in her 'conversation plays','epistolary plays'and 'metadrama',and reveal the artistic effect and aesthetic value of her early experimental drama.
