摘　　要：本研究针对开展英文小说READ模式并以《追风筝的人》为阅读素材的国内某高校的在校大学生进行问卷调查,调查的内容包括学生的语言基础,小说阅读中遇到的问题,阅读时间,阅读习惯等。调查结果表明,大多数学生仍然存在阅读水平较低,课外英文小说阅读较少等一系列问题。研究者通过分析,提出较为合理的英文小说阅读方案,并对小说题材以及学生群体的选择提出了较为合理的建议。This study is based on the questionnaire investigation of the college students, who take part in the READ model in English novel reading and make use of The Kite Runner as reading material. The investigation involves students＇ language basis, problems in novel reading, reading time, reading habits, and so on. The investigation result shows that most students still have relatively low reading comprehension ability and read few English novels in the spare time. Based on the analysis, the researcher propose a relatively reasonable teaching strategy for English novel reading and suggestions on the choices of novels＇ genres and students＇ groups.
