摘 要:当前,中国亟需具备专业素质、外语能力、思维能力、跨文化沟通能力的高素质外语人才。"英语演讲"课程在国内高校受到越来越多的关注,陆续有高校把其纳入英语基础课程。基于Krashen教授提出的语言"输入假设"和Swain教授提出的"输出假说"为理论基础而进行的"英语演讲"课程教学实践证明,开设"英语演讲"课程能有效地提高学生英语实践能力和综合社交能力。At present, China is in urgent need of high-quality foreign language talents with excellent pro fessional qualities, communicative abilities, multicultural social abilities. Meanwhile, "English Speech" course has been paid much attention by domestic universities and colleges and some of them even arrange it as basic courses. Based on the language "input hypothesis" proposed by professor Krashen and the "output hypothesis" proposed by professor Swain as the theoretical basis, the teaching practice of "English Speech" course proves that the "English Speech" course can effectively improve students' English practical ability and comprehensive social skills.
