摘 要:民国时期,留美生写作了大批中国教育问题的博士论文,体现了其以解决中国教育现实问题、开辟教育学术新领域、向西方阐释中国教育历史与现状的学术要旨,彰显了其教育救国、学术报国的热烈情怀。他们的研究成果,呈现出鲜明的问题意识、"中国主题—中国材料—西式理论方法—解决中国问题"的基本研究范式,以及以历史取向、实用主义教育哲学取向和教育测验的实证化研究路径为特色的学术特征。这些研究成果,代表了留美生致力于中国问题研究的努力与成效,在中国教育学术史上应占有一席之地。During the Republican Era, Students Studying in America wrote a number of doctoral dissertations on Chinese educational issues, embodying their academic aims of resolving Chinese practical educational problems, opening up new areas in education, interpreting Chinese educational history and status quo to the west and manifesting their warm feelings of saving the nation by education as well as serving the country by academy. Their research achievements showed distinctive problem consciousness, the basic frame work of "Chinese Topic--Chinese Material-- Western Theory and Method--Resolving Chinese Problems" and academic characteristics featured by the orientation towards history, the pragmatism education philosophy orientation and positivism research approaches of educational measurement. Chinese students in America's research demonstrated their efforts and effects of devoting themselves to resolving Chinese problems. They have to occupy an important place in the history of educational research in China.
