摘　　要：《霜叶红似二月花》以民国初年江南绅缙的日常生活圆融地展现地方社会政治、经济转型中的微妙变化。小说中,随着土地经营、高利贷和商业贸易占绅缙阶层收入权重的增大,绅缙在管理地方事务时为一己之私罔顾乡民利益。同时,小说中又极力刻画了几位在困境中坚守绅缙阶层服务桑梓的道德理想的人物。这些对绅缙阶层的叙述与茅盾的家族经验密切相关,其中也透露了茅盾内心一些隐秘的情结。Frosted Leave as Red as Flowers in Early Spring describes the subtle changes of local political and economic transition for the gentry＇s daily life in south of the Yangtze in the early years of Republic of China. The novel depicts the phenomenon that the gentry act in their own self-interest instead of the interests of local villagers due to the transformation of their economic resource. The author Mao Dun portrays some gentry who confirm the ideal of home service. The narration of gentry in the novel is related to Mao Dun＇ s family background and reveals some of his complex.
