欧茨小说中的个体命运悲剧与社会价值认同——以《他们》与《大瀑布》为例

摘　　要：欧茨早期出版的《他们》为她获得了诸多荣誉,在书中她开始思考造成个体命运悲剧的原因,但欧茨并没有给予读者这方面的答案,而是提出了多种可能,引发读者思考。2004年,欧茨出版了自认为"迄今为止最好的作品"《大瀑布》,文中欧茨对走出命运悲剧做出了回答,提出了一种全新的社会价值观与伦理观。至此,欧茨开始回归"人性"母题,她所提出的观点及看法,对我国当下构建社会主义和谐社会具有极强的借鉴意义。Them earns many honors for Oates. From the fiction Oates begins to reflect on the causes of individuals＇ fate tragedy,but she does not give the audience any definite answer in this fiction. Instead,she proposes many possible causes for us readers to think about. In 2004,Great Falls,which Oates＇ herself believes the best of all her works then,was published. In Great Falls Oates gives an answer to how to step out of the tragedy of fate and proposes a completely new social value and ethics. Till then,Oates comes to focus on the maternal topic of humanity. Her perspectives and outlooks are of great reference significance to the construction of socialism and a harmonious society in today＇s China.
