摘 要:作为人类改造和跨越自然障碍的创造物,桥既是材质、造型和工艺各异的具象之物,也是凝聚多重文化意义的象征之桥。红瑶的架桥是一种人生过渡仪式和修功德仪式,具有沟通阴阳和"修阴功"的深层意义,体现了红瑶独特的人观。对架桥仪式的研究,不仅是对"过渡礼仪""阈限"等人类学仪式研究经典概念的印证和延伸,也可拓展人类学以标识与符号"物"为研究旨趣的物质文化研究。Being a creation of human being in reforming and transcending natural obstacles, bridges are not only objects manifestingmaterial,mould and various techniques, but they are also symbols agglomerating multiple cultural meanings. As a kind of passage ritual in the life of a person and a ritual of doing good deeds for the infernal world, the ritual of bridging in the Red Yao society bears the deep meanings of communicating the Yin and the Yang and accumulating good merits for the other world, and reflects the unique perception of the Red Yao about human beings. Not only does the study of the ritual of bridging verify and extend classical concepts such as "the passage ritual" and "limen" in anthropological ritual studies, but it also expands studies of material culture in anthropology which takes symbols and the symbolic "things" as its research objectives.
