In recent years, overseas English academic journals published a batch of research findings about the paradox of privacy. After sorting out the findings of the research, the aurhors found that these studies mainly discuss the following three questions: First, defining the concept of privacy paradox; Second, analyzing the reasons of privacy paradox; Third, summarizing internet users' strategies to cope with the paradox. Results show that the paradox of privacy prevails in people's use of social network sites. The main reason for the paradox is that self-disclosure can bring users practical benefits. Therefore,in order to cope with this paradox, users need to take active measures to protect their privacy. The privacy paradox illustrates that in the internet age,it is hard to establish the passive concept of privacy that 'personal information shouldn't be illegally disclosed. 'The active control of information, especially controlling who have access to self-disclosed information has become the core of the concept of privacy. However, under this condition, users still have reasonable privacy expectations for disclosed information.
