摘 要:从湍水之辩到理想人格的六种境界之说,孟子借助水,从自然、社会、精神三个层次上阐述其人格思想,构建由体认本源到固本充盈再到泽被万物的理想人格,最终生成观水以养气、治水以循道、濯水以净身的价值内核。对于孟子人格思想中的水象,历来研究者重宏观之水的积极色彩,轻微观之水的消极意义,缺乏对水功用、流向的探讨。厘清上述问题,对深入理解孟子的人格思想、塑造理想人格、求得当前社会生存焦虑问题的解决之道具有重要参考价值。From turbulent water debate to six levels of ideal personality, Mencius uses the water image to elaborate its personal-ity theory from three levels of nature, society and spirit, to construct his personality ideology in self-cognition, self-enhance-ment and humanistic enlightenment. Eventually, the core values of improving cultivation, following regularity and purifying mind are formed. As for the water image in personality ideology, the researchers in history only focus on philosophical connota-tions and positive significance of macroscopic water image, but they often neglect the negative significance of microcosmic water image and the discussion on the function of purification and flowing direction. Discussing these problems deeply is very helpful for us to understand Mencius* personality ideology, shape its ideal personality, and solve problems ofthe current survival anxiety.
