摘　　要：中国现当代戏剧长期以来处于文学的边缘,没有得到应有的重视。旨在梳理近百年来中国现当代戏剧英译传播的历史进程,分析不同时期现当代戏剧译介的时代背景、代表性剧作家的剧本,总结其特点;探究现当代戏剧在英语世界崛起的原因及其英译传播的问题,并提出促进当下现当代戏剧海外传播的几点对策,以期中国现当代戏剧海外传播更好的前景。Chinese modern and contemporary drama has long been on the brink of the literature and hasn＇t got the attention it deserves. This paper intends to sort out the historical course of the English translation, introduction, and spread of Chinese modern and contemporary drama over the past century, analyze the backdrops,representative dramatists’ plays of different times and summarize its characteristics. The paper also explores the causes of the up of Chinese modern and contemporary drama in the English world, point out the existing problems in the translation and spread and propose several countermeasures to contribute to the present overseas spread of Chinese modern and contemporary drama, with a purpose to expect a more promising prospect of the overseas spread of Chinese modern and contemporary drama.
