摘　　要：Best known for time-cherished industry traditions, tourism and the host city for Olympic yachting games, Qingdao has taken the lead in exploring the sustainable development of modern city, where the role of standards has been strategically underlined. In the latest government session, the Mayor has pinpointed the effort to further build the city into a livable international metropolis up to globally advanced standards.
