北美印第安人的“神圣之树”及其象征意义探析

摘　　要："神圣之树"作为北美印第安人生命与希望的象征,是他们寻求智慧和心灵成长的源泉。它不仅为土著人提供了团结、安全、自由与复兴的途径,而且也为其子孙后代带来宝贵的教育意义与人生启迪,他们的生活准则、部族信仰都建立在该树所蕴含的象征意义之上。通过"神圣之树"的教诲,土著人获得来自"四方"的愿景、梦想、经验与引导等品质,使他们能够与自然界万物和谐相处,繁衍生息。"神圣之树"的内涵丰富,寓意深刻,是我们了解北美印第安人文化不可多得的素材。For thousands of years, as the symbol of life and hope, Sacred Tree is the source of Indians to seek wisdom and spiritual growth and to achieve unity, security as a vital approach to freedom and revival with valuable implications for aboriginal education and life that Native Indians＇ ethic rules and beliefs are built upon by offering sacred visions, dreams, experience and guidance within to help to be harmonious with the nature and a rare source to learn more about Indian cultural heritage.
