Great similarities can be observed between "Fu Yue," record in traditional texts and bamboo scripts of the Warring States, with "Que" in the oracle-bone inscriptions. First, they lived within the same time range, both of which were the royal court members of Wu Ding during his early reign. Second, their names are both bird-related, which are interchangeable in terms of phonology. Third, they went through highly similar historical events. Both of them were top-ranking officials of Wu Ding, who participated in a series of royal sacrifices and crusades, especially the expedition to the "Shi" kingdom. Forth, the locations of their residences and major activities also bear great resemblance, both of which were in southern Shanxi and western Henan. All in all, "Que" should be "Fu Yue"
