摘　　要：1931年正式创刊的《水利》是中国水利工程学会的会刊,也是近代中国创办的颇具影响的水利期刊,它的诞生有其深刻的社会背景。《水利》创刊后积极传播水利科技知识,在推动水利科学研究,造就卓越水利人才方面起到了重要的作用,有力地促进了我国近现代水利科技的传播和发展。Water Conservancy is not only the journal of China Water Engineering Association, but also an influential water conser-vancy journal founded in modern China. Its birth has the profound social background. After its establishment, Water Conservancy has been playing an important role in disseminating water science and technology knowledge, promoting the scientific research of water con-servancy, and training excellent water conservancy talents. It has effectively promoted the spread and development of modern water con-servancy science and technology in China.
