摘　　要：医学英语专业术语是医学英语学习的基础、重点和难点。结合语言理据论,基于对医学英语专业术语典型特征的分析,研究医学英语专业术语在语音、词形、语义及词源等方面所具备的理据性及其在教学中的应用。此研究意义在于探求医学英语专业术语的语言符号和内在涵义间的相关性,并借此丰富医学英语专业术语教学手段,从而给学习者输入系统的术语结构,为其更好的进行词汇输出奠定坚实基础。The terminologies of medical English are the basic,key and difficult points of medical English learning. Combined with theory of motivation in linguistics and based on analysis of the typical characteristics of medical English terminology,the paper studies the motivation of medical English terminologies in the aspects of phonology,morphology,semantics and etymology,and its application in related teaching. It is significant to figure out the relationship between language symbols of medical English terminologies and their respective inner meaning,so as to enrich the teaching approaches,providing the learners with a systemic structure of medical terminology and laying a solid foundation for their better vocabulary output.
