摘　　要：本文是对我国英美文学研究界著名学者、北京大学外国语学院程朝翔教授的学术访谈。程朝翔教授认为文学研究是人文学的组成部分，应该对当今世界有些作用。他强调人文学需具有现实相关性，避免成为原教旨主义的人文学，并且在访谈中谈到文学理论与文化批评、批判理论关系密切，而跨学科研究正是拓展新领域、引发学术范式转移的重要途径，由此引申到他对于21世纪文学研究转型的思考。学术访谈还涉及师生关系、学术民主、学者本分等问题。This is an academic interview with Mr. Cheng Zhaoxiang, an eminent scholar of western literature in China and a distinguished professor of Beijing University. Professor Cheng says in the interview that literary research should make some influence on contemporary world, for it belongs to humanities, which should be relevant to reality in order to avoid the tendency of Fundamentalism. He further elaborates on the close relationship between literary theory and cultural studies, and proposes some thoughts on the prospect for 21st century literature based on the notion that interdisciplinary study brings new fields and academic patterns. Professor Cheng also shares his opinion on teacher-student relation, academic democracy and the responsibility of scholars during the interview.
