论欣顿的荒野宇宙观与生态译诗的翻译诗学意义

摘　　要：戴维·欣顿是美国当代最受推崇的中国古典诗词优秀翻译家。本文剖析了欣顿对中国山水诗的“荒野宇宙观”的解读及其在译诗中的体现。其译诗体现为中国道／禅哲学与美国的荒野哲学与深层生态学等亚文化形态的双重折射翻译的结果。我们认为，美国的中国古典诗词英译文文学小传统呈现出生态译诗的翻译诗学特色，使得山水诗的自然山水文化精神与美国整体生态主义思想产生呼应与共鸣，焕发出普世的人文精神与生态价值，从而具有了世界文学性翻译诗学意义。David Hinton is the most acclaimed American contemporary translator in the field of English translation of classical Chinese poetry. The paper analyzes Hinton＇s interpretation of the wilderness cosmology of ancient China and its reproduction in his translation of China＇s ＂rivers-and-mountains＂ poetry. We are claiming that the American translation tradition of classical Chinese poetry boasts of the poetics of verse eco-translation due to the elliptical reflection of the Dao/Chan philosophy and the wilderness philosophy and the deep ecology as well. It is concluded that Hinton＇s eco-translation likely invests his translated poetry with the fabric of world literature, manifest in their texture of humanistic and ecological values.
