摘　　要：台湾早期乡土小说(1920s-1940s)无论是内涵,还是叙事,都有其特殊性。在内涵上,此时被广泛论辩的"乡土文学",其实,只是争辩乡土文学的语言载体问题。而在叙事上,表现为日本经验和台湾经验,以及日本经验对台湾经验的"挤压",由此决定了台湾早期乡土小说的形态与品格。Whether in contents or in its narratives, the early xiangtu or local fiction in Taiwan（from the 1920s to the 1940s ） has its own special characteristics. In contents, the kind of ＇xiangtu or local literature＇, now widely debated, is in fact a debate about its language carrier whereas it, in its narratives, is an expression of the Japanese and Taiwan Residents experiences, with the former pressing upon the latter, thus determining the form and character of the early xiangtu or local fiction in Taiwan.
