摘　　要：全椒金兆燕家族以举业传家，金兆燕八应会试始得进士第，其长孙金进幼年即受制艺灌输，21岁天亡，成为举业的牺牲品。金琏的悲剧事件分别进入金兆燕的诗文与袁枚及吴敬梓的小说中，或直接叙写，或投有镜像，金兆燕、袁枚与吴敬梓对于八股的认识及思想也由此显示出来。科举制度塑造着士人的人格精神，进而深刻影响着社会文化；封建制度下士人之失意具有普遍性。Jin Zhaoyan, born in Quan Jiao County, a family attaching greater signifi- cance to the working for the imperial examinations, finally gained the membership of Jin- shi （a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations）after attempting for eight times, while his eldest grandchild Jin Jin, being imbued with the same idea at his early youth, died early at the age of twenty one as the victim of the working for the impe- rial examinations../in Jin＇s tragedy had been interwoven into Jin Zhaoyan＇s poems and the stories of Yuan Mei and Wu Ching-tzl, either narrated directly or projected in some images. Thus, the opinions of./in Zhaoyan, Yuan Mei and Wu Ching-tzi to the Eight-Leg- ged Essay （Stereotyped Writing for the imperial examinations of Qing Dynasty）, were expressed. The Civil Service Examination System had shaped the personality of the scholars and thus deeply influenced the culture of the whole society. It was very common for scholars living under the feudalistic China to be frustrated.
