Objective To discuss and analyze the clinical effect of octreotide acetate and pantoprazole in treatment of refractory upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods 80 cases of patients with refractory upper gastrointestinal bleeding admitted and treated in our hospital from February 2013 to June 2016 were convenient selected and divided into two groups according to the treatment method with 40 cases in each, the control group were treated with pantoprazole, while the observation group were treated with octreotide acetate and pantoprazole, and the treatment effect was compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was obviously higher than that in the control group,(90.0% vs70.0%)(P <0.05), and the hemostasis time in the observation group was obviously shorter than that in the control group[(42.4±5.5)h vs(68.6±7.8)h](P<0.05), and the difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05), and the symptoms were mild, and disappeared without handling. Conclusion The clinical effect of octreotide acetate and pantoprazole in treatment of refractory upper gastrointestinal bleeding is obvious, which is worth promotion.
