国际视角下远程开放大学建设的思考——基于美国宝石学院的证书教育

摘　　要：美国宝石学院的发展历程和教学模式对我国远程开放大学建设的启示是:低价不应成为远程教育机构的主要竞争"优势";远程教育也必须是网上学习和线下实体学习相结合的方式,线上线下互为补充;开设专业在精而不在多,应该突出自己的优势,做自己擅长的事;要更加重视非学历教育;要扩大国际化视野,尤其是在师资队伍和学生来源方面。The development and teaching mode of Gemological Institute of America has enlightenments to the building Chinese open distance universities, including the factors that low prices should not be considered as the main competitive ＂advantage＂ of remote education institutions; distance education must also be the method to combine on- line learning and offline learning in an entity, with mutual complement online and offiine; offering majors should be better in quality than in number, highlighting their own advantages and doing what they are good at; more emphasis should be put on non-academic education; the internationalization vision should be enhanced, especially in terms of the sources of teachers and students.
