摘 要:本文借助中国英语学习者语音数据库,通过比较四组听者对不同程度英语外国口音进行感知判断所需的反应时,考察了母语和接触量对外国口音加工难度的影响。结果显示,母语会显著影响听者对外国口音的加工难度,本族语者对口音的敏感度显著高于非本族语者;接触量对外国口音的加工难度不构成显著影响,但却可以提高听者对口音的熟悉度,并在一定程度上降低加工难度。本文利用语音感知模型对实验结果进行了解释,认为不同程度外国口音的加工难度除了受语言经验的影响,还受外国口音与参照语语音原型感知距离的制约,距离越近,加工难度越大。This paper investigated the effects of L1 and accent exposure on processing difficulties in perception of accentedness by Chinese EFL learners. Two major findings were revealed:(1) listeners L1 couldsignificantly influence processing difficulties, and native listeners sensitivity was significantly higher than that of nonnative listeners; and(2) the amount of exposure did not have a significant effect, but it could improve listeners familiarity with the target language, and help to reduce its processing difficulties. It is argued that, apart from the influence of L1 and exposure, processing difficulties are caused by the perceptual distance between foreign-accented sounds and the sound prototypes in the reference language,with shorter perceptual distance bringing more processing difficulties.
