摘　　要：语言多样性被认为是欧洲文化传承的核心元素,而少数民族语言教育是承认公民平等尊严和认同的要求。以社会学方法为基础,讨论了欧盟在语言多样性及少数民族语言教育方面的政策措施及相关职权,研究发现,欧盟不同的语言群体在尊重人们的不同语言认同方面缺乏一致性及原则性的承诺,如果要对欧盟的语言多样性和少数民族语言群体提供有意义的保护,欧盟在少数民族语言教育方面需要更强更宽的职权范围。the language diversity is considered to be the core element of the European cultural heritages, and minority language education is the requirement of recognition the citizen＇ s equal dignity and identity. The paper, based on the method of sociology, discusses in the aspect of language diversity and minority language education policy measures and the relevant authority of the European Union, and the study found that the different language groups lack the consistency and principled commitment in respect for people of different languages. So the European Union needs to be stronger and wide scope of their functions and legal powers, in order to protect the linguistic diversity and the minority language education meaningfully.
