医学生EGP及ESP教学需求的调查分析

摘　　要：目的:调查医学生应学学习过程中对大学通用英语(English for General Purposes,EGP)或专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,ESP)教学需求现状,为今后开展更加合理有效的医学课程改革提供一定理论依据和数据支持。方法:对385名医学生外语学习过程中EGP或ESP教学需求情况进行相关问卷调查。结果:医学生对ESP教学需求情况略高于对EGP教学需求情况,但差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);女生在EGP及ESP教学需求均高于男生,且在ESP教学需求方面差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);通过六级考试医学生对于EGP教学需求高于未通过四级语考试医学生及通过四级考试医学生,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05),而未通过四级考试医学生与通过四级考试医学生对于EGP教学需求方面差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。通过六级医学生对于ESP教学需求也明显高于未通过四级及通过四级英语考试医学生,但差异均无统计学意义。结论:医学生对于EGP教学需求具有一定的普遍性,而对于ESP教学需求则存在一定差异,在广泛开展EGP教学的前提下,有针对性的开展ESP教学,对于提升医学生的英语学习积极性将具有较好的促进作用。Objective： To investigate the demand of EGP or ESP in the process of medical students＇ learning, and to provide a theoretical basis and data support for the further development of the medical curriculum reform in the future. Methods：385 medical students＇ foreign lan- guage learning needs of EGP or ESP in the process of teaching were investigated with the questionnaire. Result： 3he teaching requirements of ESP of medical students were higher than the EGP, but the differences has no significant difference （ P 〉 0.05）. The teaching requirements of ESP and EGP of female medical students were higher than the males,but only the differences in ESP has significant difference （P 〈 0.05）. The teaching requirement of EGP of medical students passed CEF-6 were all higher than these medical students did not passed CET-4 and only passed CET-4,and all the differences has significant difference （ P 〈 0.05）. The teaching requirement of ESP of medical students passed CET- 6 were all higher than these medical students did not passed CET-4 and only passed CET-4, but all the differences has no significant difference （P 〉 0.05）. Conclusion： Medical students have some certain requirements of EGP teaching, and have some different requirements of ESP teaching. On the premise of taking EGP, targeted with the ESP, to improve medical students English learning motivation will has a good role in promoting.
