Objective To explore the application effects of improved hepatic artery portal vein pump chemotherapy in clinical treatment. MeAods 80 patients with liver cancer admitted from September 2013 to September 2014 constituted a control group and 89 patients with liver cancer admitted from October 2014 to October 2015 constituted an experimental group. Conventional hepatic artery portal vein pump chemotherapy was applied to the control group and improved hepatic artery portal vein pump chemotherapy to the experimental group. The needle shift rate, patient satisfaction, delivery time and average length of stay (LOS) between the two groups wee compared. Results The needle shift rate in the experimental group "was 0 and the patient satisfaction 95.51%; the needle shift rate in the control group was 6.25% and the patient satisfaction 82.50% ; the average LOS and the chemotherapy drug the pumping time in the experimental group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P 〈 0.05). Conclusion The improved hepatic artery portal vein pump chemotherapy can effectively lower the needle shift rate, improve patient satisfaction, shorten LOS and improve bed turnover rate and the work efficiency of nurses.
