摘  要:阅读是读者与作者进行交流的过程,是读者分享作者创作体验的过程,也是读者有效获取语言知识和培养语言能力最直接的途径。关联理论是关于语言交际、阅读理解的重要理论,它对英语阅读教学具有指导和启示作用。在商务英语阅读教学中引入关联理论,促使学生熟练掌握、运用关联理论,有助于学生更快、更全面地理解阅读内容,提升英语阅读理解能力。Reading is a means of communication between the reader and writer. It is the most effective and the most direct way for readers to acquire verbal knowledge and ability. Relevance Theory (RT)seeks to explain the link between verbal communication and reading comprehension. It thus underlines the crucial role of teaching English reading to students. It thus follows that by mastering and using RT skillfully, students reading ability will be greatly improved. With its focus on streamlining the teaching processes and enhan- cing students'reading ability, this paper probes the relationship between RT and English reading and discusses the impact of RT on the teaching of Business English reading.
