A Comparative Study On General Education Model in Peking University and Fudan University

摘  要:董事会制度是美国最具特色的高等教育治理制度安排,已成为其他国家竞相模仿的典范。从密西根大学董事会制度的演变、组织结构、运行机制等方面分析其治理制度,总结其治理制度的四个特征——法律规章制度保障、明确的职能分工、不断调整的董事会制度以及高度自治运转,有利于我国高校对其进行有效借鉴。Peking University and Fudan University are two universities that have started the practice of general education reform earlier in China. Yuan Pei College at Peking University was viewed as a general education pilot initiative to explore small steps,in the accumulation of experience on the basis of further promotion,this is a relatively small cost of reform and a more conservative choice. Fudan University promoting the general education in overall campus which creates a favorable environment and atmosphere,so that teachers and students at Fudan University are easier to understand the status and importance of general education,has a positive attitude to general education. The establishment of Fudan College provides an organizational basis for general education and is conducive to multi-party cooperation,easier to receive support of other professional colleges.The two models of Peking University and Fudan have their own characteristics. This paper compares the characteristics of general education at two universities from four aspects: general education curriculum,teacher resources,students' management and accommodation system. On the basis of comparison,this paper proposes the common problems of general education in China,such as the challenging degree of general education curriculum and students' engagement,the integration of general education and professional education,so as to provide useful enlightenment for general education practice in China.
