摘　　要：通过梳理19世纪以来有关粤海关的研究成果,可以看到粤海关在中国走向世界历史的过程中发挥了重要作用,海外贸易管理水平有了进一步提高,海关机构管理机制渐趋完善,为中国近代海关的建立奠定了基础,成为具有国际影响的学术领域,也是广州建设历史文化名城的重要资源,具有重要的理论意义和现实意义。In the process of China＇s engagement in the world,Canton Customs played an important role. It further enhanced the level of administration of foreign trade and gradually improved the regulatory mechanism,thus laying a solid foundation for the establishment of modern customs service of China. It has now turned into an academic domain with international influence and an important resource for Guangzhou to be a renowned historical and cultural city. Hence the research in Canton Customs has vital theoretical and practical significance.
