摘　　要：在斯里兰卡,护栏石起源于固定寺庙台阶两侧栏杆的楔子,它的造型经历了从简单到复杂的六个发展阶段。长方形石板毫无疑问是护栏石的最早形式,然后,它的顶部变得稍微弯曲,雕刻一个形态饱满的罐子,先后引入侏儒的形象和眼镜蛇王,最后,发展成雕刻繁复的建筑构件^([1])。Guardstone in Sri Lanka originated in wedges to secure guardbars by the temple steps, the design of which went through six stages. It was in the shape of a rectangular tablet at the primitive stage, which arched and was carved into the shape of a jar afterwards. From then on, images of dwarfs and Naga Raja were introduced. In the end, it became an architectural component of highly sophisticated engravings.
