摘　　要：荒诞性是美国现代著名戏剧大师爱德华·阿尔比戏剧创作的显著特点,主要表现在其戏剧作品的语言风格、人物塑造、内涵主旨等方面。剧作《山羊或谁是西尔维娅?》作为阿尔比后期最具荒诞和反叛特性的作品,采用无意义的对白挑战了传统戏剧语言的权威,以面具化、变态化的人物形象和离经叛道的内涵主旨颠覆了戏剧传统的规范,犀利探讨了现代科技社会高度文明下人类普世道德的容忍底线,启迪人们重新考量文明的本质。Edward Albee was a famous modem American playwright. Absurdity is the typical feature of his dramatic creation, which is mainly reflected in language, characterization, and theme. His play The Goat, or Who ls Silvia？ is the most absurd and rebellious piece of his late works. He challenged traditional language authority by insignificant dialogues and subverted traditional drama rules by masked abnormal characters and heterodox themes. He probed into the bottom line of human＇ s tolerable morals in the modem scientific and technological soci- ety, which inspires people to rethink the essence of civilization.
