略论自由主义话语与胡适老子研究的关联

摘  要:清季民国时期,受西方新式学术话语体系与中国"千年大变局"的影响,中国学术话语体系出现了近代转型。胡适的老子研究,是近代学术话语体系转型之中的一个案例。胡适以西方自由主义话语来解析老子,同时根据中国社会的现实需求,对自由主义话语做了一定的调整与变动,由此导致胡适的老子研究前后有所变化,前期多以解构性自由主义话语来解析老子,强调老子的破坏、革命与无政府主义思想,后期倾向以建构性自由主义话语来解析老子,强调老子代表中国的自由主义传统,是西方现代自由主义的源头。胡适的老子研究体现了学术性与时代性的紧密关联。During late Qing and Republican times, Chinese academic discourse system has experienced its modem trans- formation influenced by western modem academic discourse system and unprecedented dramatic change through China history. Hushi' s study of Laozi is a typical case of it. Hushi uses western liberal discourse to analyze Laozi and makes some adjust- ments of it according to the realistic needs of Chinese society, which leads to the changes in his study of Laozi. In the former period, he stresses the destructive, revolutionary and anarchic thought of Laozi from the perspective of deconstmctive liberal discourse, and later emphasizes that Laozi' thought represents Chinese traditional liberalism and is also the source of western modem liberalism in a constructive liberal discourse angle. Hushi' s study of Laozi embodies close correlation between times and academic nature.
