摘 要:智力不再只是与学业测试相关的记忆、思维等内容,还包括如抗挫能力、自控能力、自我激励能力、合作沟通能力和人际交往能力等要素。情绪智力理论为教育理念的转变提供了依据和支持。本文概述了情绪智力理论的起源与发展,以及情绪智力与学业成绩的相关性研究,并提出了运用情绪智力理论提升大学英语教学质量的建议。Intelligence is no longer just about memory, thinking and other content related to academic tests, but also includes factors such as frustration resistance, self-control, self motivation, cooperation, communication and interpersonal skills. Emotional intelligence theory provides the basis and support for the transformation of education. This article summarizes the origin and development of emotional intelligence theory as well as the researches of emotional intelligence and academic achievements. Also, several suggestions of improving college English teaching quality by means of applying emotional intelligence are put forward.
