摘　　要：论文对1865—1970年华文报刊在新西兰由外来报刊主导到本土报刊主导的传播扩散过程、新西兰华人身份认同及想象进行了初步梳理。认为新西兰早期本土华文报刊并不仅仅只有《民声报》,其华文报刊实践活动要丰富得多。因受到华人移民潮、新西兰移民政策及中国国内政治时局的影响,新西兰早期华文报刊传播存在明显的阶段转向特征。在1910年以前尤其是淘金热时期,基本以消费外来华文报刊为主;而1920—1970年随着华人政治社团的兴起,依附这些社团的本土报刊不断出现并在本地华人阅读市场中占据了主体地位;随着越来越多的华人视新西兰为家园以及以英文为母语的第二代华人的出现,华文报刊又逐渐走向了衰落。This paper preliminarily lists the disseminating process of Chinese newspapers during the transition from the dominant of the overseas newspapers to the dominant of the local newspapers in New Zealand from 1865 to 1970 and its influence onto the identity interpretation and recognition of Chinese migrants in New Zealand. The paper finds that "The Man Sing Times" was not the only Chinese newspaper published in New Zealand in the early days; actually, much more Chinese newspapers were printed and circulated during that time. Due to the influence of the Chinese migration wave, the immigration policy in New Zealand and the political situations in China, there was an obviously feature of the gradual transition of the disseminating process of early Chinese newspapers in New Zealand. Before 1910, especially during the Gold Rush period, Chinese migrants mainly consumed overseas newspapers. From 1920 to 1970, accompany with the rise of local Chinese political organizations, local Chinese newspapers which attached to these organizations started to emerge and dominated the local Chinese reading market. However, there is an increasing number of Chinese migrants who treat New Zealand as their new homeland and the appearance of the second Chinese generation who take English as their mother tongue, it makes local Chinese newspapers encountered a gradual decline in popularity.
