摘　　要：本文对全国商务英语专业八级测试的开发和相关的测试效度研究进行全面解读,探讨测试研发过程中所涉及的理论和开展的实证研究。对该测试的能力构念、考试大纲和题型任务等内容做出分析与解释,以期帮助全国参考院校和考生正确理解商务英语专业八级考试,也希望通过测试开发和效度研究不断完善商务英语专业教学,提高商务英语专业才培养质量。This paper is aimed at introducing the National Test for Business English Majors Band 8 （ TBEM 8） and undertakes to report on both theoretical and empirical research in the design and development of the test. In keeping with the national criteria for qua- lity teaching of the business English major, it elaborates on the test construct, syllabus, specifications and items that are deve- loped to measure teaching effectiveness. It aims to facilitate better understanding of the TBEM 8 so as to assist prospective test takers in better preparing for the test. It is also expected that the test development and validation can assure the improvement of the teaching quality of the business English major.
