摘　　要：基于未来建筑工程师的基本要求,本文针对目前专业课英文教学要求,结合中国大学生的内在缺点,提出了一种土木工程建筑材料课程教学新英语教学方法。该方法涵盖了课前预习、课堂教学、实验测试、英文演讲、公开考试、课外竞赛活动等一系列环节,为学生在课程学习期间提供了大量英语听、说、读和写的练习机会,并力求实现课堂讲授、课外强化和实践演练三者间的平衡。根据四年的跟踪反馈信息,本方法受到了学生的一致好评,且经此课程教学指导的学生们在各项土木工程建筑材料设计与应用相关比赛中屡创佳绩,证明本方法不仅可以帮助学生们更好地理解专业知识,也较好地提升了综合理解能力。According to the basic requirement for future scientists and engineers,considering the intrinsic weaknesses of Chinese students,this paper puts forward a new English teaching methodology for the engineering construction materials.This methodology includes course preparation,course teaching,experimental tests,oral presentation,open examination and contests,meanwhile,this methodology provides lots of opportunities for students to practice English reading,listening and speaking skills during the course study.The purpose of this methodology is to achieve the balances among the classroom teaching,after-class activities and engineering practices.Based on the feedback information for four years,this methodology has won a great deal of praise from students who achieve good grades in a variety of contests.It proves that this methodology can not only help to enhance the understanding of this course,but also improve the comprehensive quality of Chinese students to some degree.
