英语写作“思辨缺席”问题的另类成因:语言测试的视角——以近七年来的国内大型英语水平考试为例

摘　　要：我国大学生英语写作思辨能力不足的问题已成为一个公认的顽疾。一直以来人们认为这是大学生思维能力本身的问题,其长期被忽视的原因则是考试的导向问题。在我国,考试的方式和要求对学生的学习有着重要的影响。因此,在综合分析我国几种主要的英语考试的写作题目的基础上,本文建议在以后的大学英语四、六级,英语专业四、八级考试以及全国硕士研究生入学考试英语科目写作部分等,考试指令只需给出一个大概的写作主题,以有效降低考试对学生学习的负面导向,改善学生英语写作思辨能力不足的问题。Poor critical ideas are common in many Chinese EFL learners’writing, which is undermuch discussion and exploration in current China. Pitifully,what is widely neglected in such study is thenegative effect of writing guidelines in some major nationwide English tests on English learning as the washback effect exists. A comprehensive analysis on the guidelines set by these tests in contrast with TOEFLand IELTS confirms that no guided instruction and outline in contents is to be arranged,which willdefinitely reduce and remove such poor critical thinking in Chinese-speaking learners’English writing andalso helps in improving their English language proficiency.
