闲聊中的引语妙用——浅析斯内普的形象塑造

摘　　要：闲聊是一种非正式场合下的交际行为,话题围绕不在场的对象展开。社会语言学视角下的闲聊具有高度合作性,闲聊者通过边缘化不在场对象维持群体内部团结。以《哈利波特》系列文本为语料基础,通过关键词检索和话语分析,解读主要人物围绕不在场对象——斯内普的闲聊片段。研究发现,说话者直接或间接引用斯内普的话语,意在激起闲聊群体对斯内普的负面评论,形成对其负面形象的一致认识。Gossip, an informal talk, deals with topics which engage an absent party. Its highly cooperative feature has been recognized by sociolinguists. By means of marginalizing the absent third party, gossipers share values and alignments in an attempt to establish solidarity. After establishing a corpus based on Harry Potter serials, the study conducted the research by searching for keyword ‘Snape' and applied discourse analysis in the following explanation, with a focus upon a detailed analysis of the dialogue extract involving Snape as the absent participant. Results show that gossipers directly and indirectly reported Snape's words so as to arouse negative evaluation from the rest and thus reach an alignment on the abominable characteristic of Snape.
