摘　　要：长篇小说《弗罗斯河上的磨房》的故事结局颇耐人寻味。但是,从分析小说人物特征及作者的创作意图入手,并结合小说的主题思想及结构来探讨和阐述该故事结局的内在逻辑,显而易见主人公麦吉之死系主人公和作者心灵深处的"死亡情结"所致,而非单一或偶然因素引起。The end of the novel The Mill on the Floss is intriguing. But,from the analysis of the character of the novel and the author's creation intention,and combined with the theme of the novel and structure to explore and expound the inherent logic of the story ended,obviously the death of heroine Maggie is caused the author and the hero's"complex"death by heart,rather than a single or accidental factors.
