摘　　要：从坎贝尔的英雄模式出发,解读普尔曼的代表作《黑暗物质三部曲》中的成长主题。男女主人公经历了启程—启蒙—归来的英雄成长模式,历经磨难与考验,终于获得了自我的发现与成长,也承担了历史赋予的社会责任,他们最终以将彼此之间的爱情献祭给人类灵魂解放的大爱,为成长画上了完美的句号。In light of Joseph Campbell＇s Hero Pattern,this thesis analyzes the initiation theme in Pullman＇s masterpiece,His Dark Materials Trilogy. Having gone through the initiation-adventure-return hero pattern with a number of hardships and tests,the protagonists Lyra and Will gain in self-discovery and take up the social responsibilities entrusted to them. Finally they choose to sacrifice their love for the salvation of the human soul,which is a perfect ending for this initiation story.
