摘　　要：英格兰东北部地区是世界上较早实行高等教育区域合作的区域。作为一种新兴的高等教育与区域互动发展的方式,高等教育区域合作旨在发挥区域高等教育机构的整体协同作用,打造社会服务合力。借鉴英格兰东北部地区合作实践的实施背景、实施方法、组织架构,有利于我国因地制宜地在高等教育领域开展合作,创新高等教育为社会服务的方式方法,实现高等教育融入地方发展。Northeastern England is one of the world＇s earliest areas where regional cooperahon m mgner education taken place. As a new way for higher education and region developing interactively, regional cooperation in higher education aims to make the regional higher education institutions play a unitary role in the region, and to make contributions together. Drawing lessons from the backgrounds, the methods and the organizational structure of Northeastern England＇ s cooperation practice, it is meaningful to make regional cooperation in higher education happen in China, with an innovative way for higher education institutions to serve the society and realize the integration of higher education into local development.
