摘　　要：湖湘文化中的"心忧天下"、"敢为人先"、"实事求是"和"兼容并蓄"等核心精神特征与现代设计存在着密切的联系;湖湘地区多样的民族构成以及多元的文化背景,产生了不同的生活方式,同时也造就了种类丰富、造型装饰独特的家具;通过湖湘物质遗产探寻湖湘文化在不同历史时期中所蕴含的审美情趣和文化特征;以湖湘传统文化为设计依据,以湖湘传统哲学为设计精神的设计方法仍是非常有效的设计创新之路。There are close relationship between modem design with the core spiritual characteristics in Huxiang Culture, such as ＂Concern for the country＂, ＂Dare to be the First,＂ ＂Seeking truth from Facts＂ and ＂Inclusiveness＂. The diverse ethnic composition and various cultural background in Huxiang has produced different kinds of life styles, and also created a rich variety of furniture with unique shapes and decorations, The aesthetic taste and cultural ligatures of Huxiang culture in different historical periods was discussed through physical heritage here. Based on Hunan traditional culture, the design method taking the Huxiang traditional philosophy as the spirit of design, is still a very effective way to design and innovate.
