摘  要:鲍桑葵和朱光潜都是美学大家,在美学史上占有重要地位。朱光潜先生的《西方美学史》影响了无数研究西方美学的学者,朱先生开风气之先,衣被学人,不止一代。而鲍桑葵的《美学史》以其独特的体例和新颖的见解成一家之言,在美学史上地位煊赫。《西方美学史》深受《美学史》的影响,由于文化、时代、方法论等因素,两者又呈现出巨大的不同,他们对中世纪美学地位的不同评价就是证明。Bosanquet and Zhu Guangqian are aestheticians,and occupy an important position in the history of aesthetics. Mr. Zhu Guangqian's The History of Western Aesthetics influences countless scholars who study the western aesthitics. Mr. Zhu sets fashion and plays a leading role in more than one generation scholars. But Bosanquet's The history of Aesthetics creats his own school with its unique style and novel insights,and holds a very important position in the history of aesthetics. The History of Western Aesthetics is deeply influenced by The History of Aesthetics. Because of the different factors,such as culture,time and methodology,these two are different from each other,which is proved by their different evaluations to the position of assthetics in the medieval times.
