摘　　要：《荆棘鸟》是澳大利亚作家考琳·麦卡洛的代表作品,在世界范围内赢得了很高的声誉。从《荆棘鸟》中的女性形象出发,发现她们富有激情而又倔强的性格特征,其表现为对自身生命价值意义的不懈追求,并以此管窥考琳·麦卡洛的婚姻爱情观,进而揭示其对天主教文化的反思及其对女性生存境遇的人文关怀。Thorn Birds is Colleen McCullough's representative works that have a high reputation all over the world.We can find that these female have adamancy and passion of character,which is embedded in the pursuit of life value.Therefore,we will seek Colleen McCullough's attitudes of love and marriage from these female images.Finally,we will reveal McCullough's reflection to the Christian culture and humanistic care about women's living circumstances.
